In a significant development in policy advocacy that recognises the crucial role of policy professionals, June 18 has been officially declared Policy Advisors Day. On this date, the Policy Advisors Club (PAC) – India Chapter was soft launched, heralding the advent of a pioneering platform dedicated exclusively to policy advisors and government affairs experts.
Significance of June 18
June 18 holds a distinguished place in India’s policy history as the day the First Constitutional Amendment came into effect in 1951. This amendment was a seminal step in balancing fundamental rights with social justice, public order, and land reforms. It affirmed the Constitution of India as a living document — one that evolves with the needs of society and enables the government to surmount judicial barriers in implementing vital policies.
By selecting this date for the launch, PAC pays tribute to the spirit of dynamic governance and reform that has shaped modern India. Henceforth, this day will be observed annually as World Policy Advisors Day, honouring the expertise and influence of policy advisors worldwide.
About the Policy Advisors Club (PAC)
The Policy Advisors Club is conceived as a unique retreat and think tank for policy innovators — a space where candid conversations ignite innovative ideas and actionable solutions. Unlike conventional forums, PAC emphasises individual expertise over organisational affiliations, fostering collaborations that can reshape policy frameworks and strengthen governance ecosystems.
The Club aims to unite leading minds from policy, governance, industry, and civil society to co-create initiatives that drive positive disruption and sustainable development.
Leadership and founding Members
The PAC is founded and led by Anubhuti Kaul Bhrany, a distinguished strategic leader with over 25 years’ experience in government relations, policy advocacy, and corporate affairs across India, Greater Asia, and the United States. Anubhuti’s illustrious career includes senior leadership roles at Flex India, HP Inc., Intel, and Wipro Technologies, where she has played a pivotal role in shaping industry regulations, expanding manufacturing footprints, and steering policy dialogues on critical issues such as sustainability, AI, and data privacy.
Under her stewardship, the Club has brought together 20 founding members, all eminent figures from the policy advisory fraternity, committed to advancing India’s policy landscape.
A Vision for the Future
With India poised for global leadership, the launch of the Policy Advisors Club and the declaration of Policy Advisors Day symbolise a commitment to nurturing the policy ecosystem. By institutionalising this platform, PAC aspires to be more than a discussion forum — it aims to be a catalyst for transformative policy-making that benefits society at large.
